Scouts take an Oath “to help other people at all times" but service hours are required as well to advance in rank.  Unless you are participating in a service project that involves labor where you may get dirty; you are ALWAYS REQUIRED to wear your Class A uniform.  Please remember you are representing both our troop and the Scouting organization as a whole in your participation of these events so please do your best to "Look Sharp" and "Be Prepared".

 

ALL Scouts MUST complete one hour of service for the rank of Tenderfoot, two hours for Second Class and three hours for First Class.  The total hours for the rank of Star and Life are six hours each.  At least three of the six hours for Life must be conservation-related; as this reflects an increased emphasis on environmental stewardship.  NOTE:  Service hours are not cumulative and once used for rank advancement can not be used again for a consecutive rank advancement.
